Version 0.1.0
Not released yet
The first version of ProMax Display: full screen that uses the whole display on a MacBook with a notch.
Highlights
- Apps' own settings. Switches on the notch-row setting in VS Code, Cursor, Zed, Ghostty, kitty, mpv and MacVim, with undo, and guides you through iTerm2, WezTerm, Alacritty and Neovide.
- Games. Opens SDL games with full screen reaching the notch row, plus a Steam launch option to copy.
- Every app. A one-time setup lets full screen fill the notch row in every app, with an Excluded Apps list for any you'd rather leave.
- Rear-view mirror. Point into the notch to see what the notch hides, live, just below it.
- Menu bar beside the notch. The top edge beside the notch brings the menu bar down. Inside the notch, it doesn't.
- Trackpad gestures. Swipe in from the edges for the Dock, menu bar and Control Center.
- Dock app switcher. With the Dock out, swipe up again and slide to choose an app. Pull up to switch to it, or pull down to quit it. A setting (off at first) lets you step through the chosen app's windows too.
- Try the gestures. A trackpad playground in the welcome and on the Gestures page, with a checklist that ticks off each gesture as you do it.
- Corners. Full screen apps keep the display's rounded corners as you swipe between them.
- Updates and licence. Automatic updates, and a Licence page to activate and move your licence.
